Set the stage for long-term success by creating a powerful first impression with your new employees. This workshop will guide leaders and managers through the essentials of effective onboarding, from the “must-dos” of welcoming and supporting new hires to hiring tips that strengthen retention from day one. Participants will explore how employees experience their first days, develop a practical onboarding toolkit, build an effective training plan, and set clear expectations that drive performance. By viewing onboarding from the employee’s perspective, you will learn strategies that foster clarity, confidence, and connection. An optional second hour offers the opportunity for questions and a guided review of the onboarding strategies workbook.

This webinar is open to everyone at no cost, thanks to an AgWorks grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. To help track grant reach and eligibility, participants will be asked questions about their farm or agribusiness during registration. Responses will remain confidential and will not be shared outside the project team.
